Once again Geelong based Adams Print has demonstrated its position as a major player in the national print market by taking out a coveted gold medal and two bronze medals at the 22nd National Print Awards. The National Print Awards celebrate excellence in the craft of print and recognise the special efforts of printers by awarding their best work. This year’s win follows a triumphant 2004 when Adams Print not only won gold and bronze medals, but was also inducted into the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame for Manufacturing Excellence.

The 2005 Gold Medal was won for a multiple piece print job for the Sensis QV Welcome Kit. Sensis is a leading Australian advertising and search company providing information services such as the Yellow Pages® and White Pages® directories,
the online sites CitySearch® and Whereis® and the Trading Post®
group’s publications. The QV Kit was produced for their relocation

Monash City Council Plan 2004-2008, Bronze Medal, Category 5 - Booklets, Catalogues and Magazines bound by saddle stitching

Bronze recognition came in the form of a brochure for Melbourne’s Monash City Council and for Packaging, a special CD box for the Ford Fairlane LTD, Ford Motor Company, designed by J. Walter Thompson. Managing Director, Shane Soutar, said, “While we love winning awards and are proud
of our achievements, it’s what they represent that really counts. To us, awards such as this reflect the commitment of our local workforce to world class quality and the confidence our clients have in us. That is what is really important.”

This sentiment is echoed by Kym Ramadge, Design Director
of KRD which is the studio behind the Sensis QV and Monash projects. “We’ve been working with Adams Print for a few years now. Their dedication, attention to detail and passion to produce outstanding work, while adhering to the strict deadlines we demand, is what sets them apart. Our clients and design team were all very proud to have been awarded the medals for excellence.”
