May 28, 2007

Adams Print continues to secure itself as a market leader in the national print domain, recently securing three Silver medals and a Bronze at the prestigious National Print Awards for 2007. In its 24th year, the Awards process lays the foundation for the prosperity of the print, packaging and visual communication industry in Australia by celebrating outstanding contributions to the craft of print.

The three Silver medals were awarded to Adams Print for their exceptional entries in the categories of Calendars, Postcards and Two Colour Printing. The Bronze medal wining entry was for a calendar by Roger Wandless, a renowned New Zealand based landscape photographer.

Roger’s decision to work with Adams Print was based on reputation. “I wanted to work with the award winning Adams Print instead of going to Asia. They have a proven track record of treating photography with the highest respect and quality control.”

Over the past four years, Adams Print has collected three Gold medals, four Silver, four Bronze and been inducted into the Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame for Manufacturing Excellence. This is in addition to winning the 2006 Geelong Business Excellence Awards for Manufacturing and/or Export.

Managing Director of Adams Print, Shane Soutar, says that “winning four medals this year has given recognition to the efforts of all our team, who are involved at every level of production. Ultimately, the Awards serve to reiterate that we continue to offer our clients a premium quality product.”

Adams Print continues to invest in training and retaining the best people while constantly seeking the latest print technology in order to create a benchmark for the industry. “Our facilities and systems are constantly evolving in order to maintain our position as industry front runners” says Shane. “Our mission each year is to exceed the levels of print quality that we have previously been rewarded for.”

The National Print Awards celebrate excellence in the craft of print, and recognise the special efforts of printers by awarding their best work.

May 15, 2006

Geelong based Adams Print has demonstrated its position as a major player in the national print market by taking out a coveted gold medal and a silver medal at the 23rd National Print Awards. The National Print Awards celebrate excellence in the craft of print, and recognise the special efforts of printers by awarding their best work.

Both awards fall into the Calendar category. The 2006 Gold Medal was won for a calendar produced for Smorgon Steel. The silver medal was for the 2006 Mark Wilson Photography calendar. Both award winning pieces showcase photography by Mark Wilson.

Managing Director, Shane Soutar, said, “The continuation of our gold medal winning standard is nothing more than hard work by all the team involved. To be recognised by the Print Industry over three consecutive years makes going the extra distance worthwhile.”

Kym Ramadge, Design Director, KRD – the studio behind the Smorgon Steel and Mark Wilson projects had this to say. “Everyone at KRD sincerely thank the Adams Print team for their ongoing commitment to excellence and for their passion to produce exceptional print work at all times. These qualities set Adams Print apart – this has been reinforced with consecutive gold medals for projects which KRD have designed.”

Mark Wilson, Photographer, said, “On behalf of my client Smorgon Steel and myself I would like to thank Adams Print for their superb work with both of my projects. Until I first worked with the team at Adams Print, I didn’t realise a print company could be as enthusiastic as I am about reproducing my images perfectly. For the two calendars to win the Gold and Silver Medals is suitable recognition of the painstaking effort Adams apply each time I work with them. They have my deepest gratitude and admiration.”

The awards ceremony was held in Sydney, May 12.

Recently, Adams Print have seen the arrival of our brand new Knorr guillotine systeme. The Knorr systeme is one of the first of its kind in the country.

The main advantage of the new guillotine is its pinpoint accuracy. The systeme also incorporates pre-lifting; knock up jogging, computerised programming, waste extracting and off stacking. All of this, using fully automated technology eliminating all heavy lifting for the operator.
