Innovative Print Solutions
Geelong based Adams Print has demonstrated its position as a major player in the national print market by taking out a coveted gold medal and a silver medal at the 23rd National Print Awards. The National Print Awards celebrate excellence in the craft of print, and recognise the special efforts of printers by awarding their best work.
Both awards fall into the Calendar category. The 2006 Gold Medal was won for a calendar produced for Smorgon Steel. The silver medal was for the 2006 Mark Wilson Photography calendar. Both award winning pieces showcase photography by Mark Wilson.
Managing Director, Shane Soutar, said, “The continuation of our gold medal winning standard is nothing more than hard work by all the team involved. To be recognised by the Print Industry over three consecutive years makes going the extra distance worthwhile.”
Kym Ramadge, Design Director, KRD – the studio behind the Smorgon Steel and Mark Wilson projects had this to say. “Everyone at KRD sincerely thank the Adams Print team for their ongoing commitment to excellence and for their passion to produce exceptional print work at all times. These qualities set Adams Print apart – this has been reinforced with consecutive gold medals for projects which KRD have designed.”
Mark Wilson, Photographer, said, “On behalf of my client Smorgon Steel and myself I would like to thank Adams Print for their superb work with both of my projects. Until I first worked with the team at Adams Print, I didn’t realise a print company could be as enthusiastic as I am about reproducing my images perfectly. For the two calendars to win the Gold and Silver Medals is suitable recognition of the painstaking effort Adams apply each time I work with them. They have my deepest gratitude and admiration.”
The awards ceremony was held in Sydney, May 12.
